Pre- Christmas Orienteering Training 2024
7 sessions over 5 days, Saturday 14 Dec to Wed 18 December
Easy/Moderate Level structured group training for confident navigation in adults and children. Training includes urban and bush navigation and some fun games including Secret Santa!
All sessions inner north Canberra. Session times & locations to be confirmed.
This training is for you if: If you have completed Learn to Orienteer, or you are ‘mastering’ basic navigation as part of the SC-ORE School Orienteering program, then these sessions could be for you. BUT you must be 11 years or older AND if you are in Primary School, you will need a parent/guardian to remain throughout the sessions.
Under 18s must have parent consent/permissions. Born after 2011 will need responsible adult to remain present throughout.
Cost: $40 pp or $80 per family (Entry fees will support orienteering juniors in 2025).
Time: Morning and afternoon session times to be confirmed and may be adjusted depending on the weather.

I am aware that orienteering is a recreational activity that can be dangerous, accept that there is a degree of risk and acknowledge that I participate in this event at my own risk. I release Orienteering NSW, its affiliated clubs, members and all other parties associated with organising the event from any responsibility or legal liability associated with my presence at, and participation in, this orienteering event. To the extent that the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 applies this release is limited to responsibility and legal liability for death or personal injury and does not apply to significant personal injury caused by reckless conduct by Orienteering NSW, its affiliated clubs, members and all other parties associated with organising the event. Statements 1. I am aware there is no health, accident, ambulance, disability or life insurance provided. 2. I allow the free use of my name and photo in entry information, results, news, marketing and promotional material pertaining to the event or orienteering. 3. I will ensure that any children under my control at the event are appropriately supervised at all times. I acknowledge that parents and guardians are responsible for deciding whether their children are capable of orienteering by themselves at each event.
