COURSES (length, climb):

Moderate 1 (5.3km, 180m), Moderate 2 (3.4km, 120m), Easy (2.4km, 120m), Very Easy (1.7km, 65m).

COURSE SETTER'S NOTES:

The northern end of the Cooleman Ridge is mainly grassland with sections of open forest and fantastic views of the Bullen Range and Namadgi. The grass is low so expect fast running except through the rocky areas and steep slopes. Please take care on the very steep descent to the finish on the easy and moderate courses. There may be cows grazing on the easy and moderate 1 course, so please try not to scare or startle them. All courses contain significant climbs, on the moderate 2 course, there are chairs between control 6 and 7 (northern man-made feature) and control 10 and 11. On the western corner of the map you must stay on the tracks to avoid going out of bounds (purple cross-hatch). Finally, as well as echidnas and wombats, the reserve contains many different types of lizards and snakes, which were seen when setting the courses.

STARTS:

Between 1700 and 1830.

There is a 400m flat walk from assembly area to the start.

Courses close at 1930. You MUST report to the finish by 1930, whether you have finished your course or not.
