ACT MIDWEEK SERIES
The ACT mid-week series comprises low-key orienteering events held each Wednesday lunchtime mostly in Canberra Nature Parks. Everyone is welcome, just turn up, no requirement to book or notify anyone before the event.
NOTE: MapRun only course, no control flags will be out. Participants will need to have the MapRun6 app installed on their phone (or MapRunG on their Garmin watch).
Courses are about 3km and 5km in length of moderate navigation difficulty. During school holidays we will also have an easy navigation course. NOTE to Schools and groups: Please advise beforehand so we can ensure we have enough maps.
Start anytime between 12 noon and 1pm. You must return by 2pm.
ASSEMBLY:
Park in "Rock Garden" carpark at east end of Forest Drive. Start/finish at track junction east of carpark.
COURSES:
Moderate 1 (5.1km), Moderate 2 (3.3km).
Please note that this is a MapRun only course, no control flags will be out. Participants will need to have the MapRun6 app installed on their phone (or MapRunG on their Garmin watch), and select the correct course, being either: "Yarramundi Reach OACT July 2022 Mod1" or "Yarramundi Reach OACT July 2022 Mod2". Printed maps will be available at the assembly area.
ENTRIES Two entry options are available:
1. Online entry to individual events, via Eventor (preferred). Adults $10, juniors $7. Entries close at 12pm on the day of each event.
2. Enter on the day at the event, adults $10, juniors $7. Cash only, exact change required.
