Hayden Dent Breaks Four-minute Barrier

The flat terrain and the long distances between some controls enabled the speedsters to record some very fast times. Junior, Hayden Dent broke the four-minute per kilometre on corrected time barrier, with a km rate of 3 min 58.34 sec, with his Dad, Martin, finishing just behind him on 4 min 02.74 sec. Martin was also fastest across the line for the 4.4 km Moderate 1 course, breaking 20 minutes with a time of 19 min 23 sec. Grace Crane was narrowly the fastest of the women with a time of 24 min 23 sec, three seconds faster than Shannon Jones. Hayden Dent was also fastest on the 3.5 km Moderate 2 course, breaking 20 minutes with a time of 19 min 26 sec. Judith Coleman was the fastest woman in 26 min 55 sec

  • Moderate 2: 3.5 km, 8 controls: Men: 1. Hayden Dent 19 min 26 sec, 2. Ken Mansell 21 min 43 sec, 3. Fedor Iskhakov 23 min 05 sec; Women: 1. Judith Coleman 26 min 55 sec, 2. Alice Radajewskt 27 min 16 sec, Vicky Mansell 28 min 46 sec,

After the handicap factors were applied, Hayden Dent was the winner with a corrected kilometre rate of 3 min 58.34 sec. The top 10 competitors in Race 10 were:

Although Matthew Crane did not finish on Wednesday, he still leads the Series.

The next event in the Runners Shop Twilight Series will be on Wednesday 16 February 2022 at Aranda Bushlands. Then there will be only two events, at Bruce Ridge and the final at Narrabundah Hill when the best seven scores will count.
