Important Information for the Upcoming Twilight Series

The 2021-2022 Runners Shop Twilight Series will commence on Wednesday 3 November at Mt Majura West, the series program is available here.

This year’s Twilight Series will be run a bit differently to previous event series, here are all the important changes that you need to know about.

Event Entry

Due to ACT Government COVID-19 restrictions pre-entry to individual events and enter on the day will not be available at upcoming twilight series events.

Pre-entry via the Series’ Season pass is mandatory for all upcoming Twilight Series events.

Newcomers who have not orienteered previously may enter on the day at events. All others must pre-enter by purchasing a season pass.

To purchase a season pass you must be a member of an orienteering club and you must own your own Sportident stick, which can be purchased as an additional service when you register via eventor.

The number of season pass entries is limited, enter early to avoid disappointment.

Entries will open via eventor at 10am on Monday 11 October.

Season Pass entries will close at 5pm on the day before each event, or once the COVID-19 entry cap is reached. No entries will be accepted after this time.

Course Selection

You must pre-enter the course/class that you wish to complete, course/class changes cannot be made at events.

Course lengths will be published on the respective event information pages in the week prior to each event.

Season Pass holders may change their course/class selection prior to any event in the series. To do so:

  1. Login to Eventor and visit the season pass page.
  2. Click ‘Change entry’.
  3. Select your new course/class from the drop-down list.
  4. Follow the prompts to confirm the changes.

Course/class changes must be completed by 5pm on the day before each event.

Contactless Punching

Contactless punching, commonly known as SI Air, will be available at all events. To take advantage of contactless punching you must use a SPORTident ActiveCard (SIAC stick). The use of a SIAC stick is highly recommended for all competitors, however it is not compulsory.

Conventional SI sticks can still be used, in the normal fashion with direct punching.

More information on SI Air is available here.

SIAC sticks can be purchased as an additional service through eventor when registering for your season pass.

At the Event

There will be no registration at the event, nor do you need to check-in at the computer before your run. Instead, please proceed straight to the start, to clear, check, and collect your map.

Remember to download at the computer once you have finished.

Participants should also note the other rules outlined in the OACT COVID-19 Policy. These include maintaining physical distancing of 1.5m to other people, including at the assembly area, when approaching controls on course, and when queuing at the start and computer download.
