SC-ORE School Orienteering – confined campus makes for complex navigation

Congregating on rather tight Hughes Primary front play space this morning offered us a great opportunity to showcase Orienteering to the Hughes school community and to passers by.

Spring SC-ORErs are growing ever confident by the week. They know what gaffling is – they know not to follow. But as the pace and level of technicality steps up are they ready??

They are for sure! The course this week took our wild runners, in a merry-go-round, through the playgrounds, around high fences, with a long leg to test the stamina, before dropping back into a complex set of buildings, narrow paths, steps and gardens towards the finish. That’s week 3! Next up Canberra Grammar Campus!

Check out the results from the event at Hughes Primary School here.
