Are you getting ready for Oceania 2019? There’s going to be fun on the A41!

Happy New Year to all orienteers! Santa has fled the heat of the Australian summer and now we’ve turned the corner into an Oceania year.

Entries are due to be open through Eventor by the end of January 2019, so watch this space over the coming days for more news.

In the meantime there is plenty going on behind the scenes. Two challenging brand new maps are in store for Oceania participants this year, with plenty of action available on some familiar terrain and an entertaining mid-week carnival as well.

In 2019, in addition to all the usual excitement, our festival of running includes:

  • Australian Universities Championships (held in conjunction with the Oceania Sprint Distance event)
  • Australian Schools Championships (3 days of competition)
  • An Invitational Tour – to bring together developing juniors aged 9 to 18 (typically school years 5-12) – other than those already in the Schools State Teams – and families/guardians keen to learn new skills, make new friends, and have fun together!

More on all these shortly.

For now, here are some of the names and faces of our Aussie organising team*, and of course if you want to contact us for any reason please email
