2024 Australian MTBO Carnival and Championships
The 2024 Australian Mountain Bike Orienteering Carnival and Championships will be held in Canberra from 17 to 20 October 2024.

Thursday 17 October, Social Warm-Up SCORE Event,
Bruce Ridge
Starts from 5pm.
An Opening social Score course event. In suburban north Canberra, a short ride from the city centre. Bruce Ridge features an intricate network of fun singletrack amongst native eucalyptus forest.

Saturday 19 October, Australian Middle Distance Championships,
Stringybark Hill
Starts from 9am to 10am.
25 minutes drive east of central Canberra.
A new map, never previously used for MTBO. An extensive network of rocky singletrack set amongst hilly native forest.

EVENT 3 (E3):
Saturday 19 October, Australian Sprint Distance Championships,
Sutton Road
Starts from 2pm to 3pm.
Less than 20 minutes drive east of central Canberra, and only 15 minutes from Stringybark Hill.
The map is dominated by a tarred race circuit, surrounded by open grassland, scattered trees, and a profusion of industrial debris. Off–track riding is permitted everywhere, and riders will need to carefully judge when to cut straight across country and when best to utilise the fragmented and rough off-road track network.

Sunday 20 October, Australian Long Distance Championships,

30 minutes drive east of central Canberra.
An expansive pine plantation with a huge network of forestry roads, fire trails and some rough singletrack.
