SC-ORE is an Orienteering Relay Team Challenge for Primary School Children

Do you want your child to learn navigational skills while also getting some physical exercise and socialising with their friends?
SC-ORE ticks all the boxes!

SC-ORE offers some running and navigation skills practice with a real map while having fun with friends in a team-based activity.

SC-ORE is held over four Thursday mornings, twice a year in March and October-November.

Orienteering is a navigation sport where you visit checkpoints in a specific order using a map. The map provides information about the area, and participants decide on their own route to get around the course from point to point.

No previous experience is needed for kids to try SC-ORE!
Before each event we hold an instructive briefing for everyone. Our coaches will watch over and help participants solve navigation problems themselves during the event. The kids learn as they go!

Good to know: you don’t need to be a fast runner to do well at orienteering! Map reading and navigation is a big part of the sport – a skill all orienteers hone. The fastest orienteers can both run fast and navigate well at the same time!

Orienteering is a sport for life – suitable for all ages and all abilities. Let your child try it in this safe and fun environment!
