Capital O – Entries Close Sunday

Entries to Capital O, on 7-8 March, close this Sunday 15 February. Late entry will not be available.

Capital O is Orienteering ACT’s (OACT) new flagship annual orienteering carnival. For 2026 the carnival will be held over the Canberra Day long weekend. It’s the best preparation you can get before the Easter 3 Days carnival.

The 2026 event is a round of the National Orienteering League (NOL), with individual sprint and mass start sprint races on Saturday, and a middle distance race on Sunday. The NOL races also serve as selection trials for Australia’s teams to the World Orienteering Championships, Junior World Championships and 2026 World Cup races. For other age classes Sunday will be the ACT Middle Distance Championships, and Saturday will be two individual sprint races.

Bulletin 1 is available with event details.
Entries are open here.

Embargoes

All three event venues are embargoed from Monday 8 December 2025 until the event begins. You should only enter Radford College or University of Canberra if you have business there and you must not use that time to explore more widely or use an orienteering map.
