Sprint Series: Kingston Wasteland, Sunday 10 August – New Map

The Sprint Series continues this Sunday 10 August at a new map of Kingston Wasteland

Kingston Wasteland is a unique area – unlike anything else in Canberra, and possibly Australia. Formerly a rubbish tip, it’s now become a labyrinth of bushes with some areas of intricate contour detail and some special features including a couch and a fridge.

The vegetation is varied, there are many impassable bushes and thick sections, but there are many areas in between offering good to very good runnability, making it a true bush sprint. Due to the spines on plants, full body cover and eye protection is recommended. Care should also be taken around scattered debris which may have sharp rusty edges.

A sprint course of about 2.5km, and a beginner course of about 1.0km will be available, with starts anytime between 9:30am & 10:30am.
