Orienteering ACT was one of many community sporting organisations to recently receive grant funding from the ACT Government.
OACT’s applications for funding support for equipment purchases and improvements to the governance of the sport were approved by ACT Sport & Recreation. The funding received totals $28,000, through the Club Enhancement Program (CEP) and the State Organisation Support Program (SOSP), will be used for the purchase of event timing equipment, updating the OACT Office computers and bringing OACT’s governance, budget planning and risk management in line with the updated best practice guidance provided by the Australian Sports Commission, (ASC).
