Entries are open for the 2024 ACT Middle and Long Distance Championships to be held on the weekend of 24-25 August.
Both events will be rounds of the 2024 ACT League and 2024 NSW State League.
Entries to both events will close at 11:59pm on Friday 16 August.
There will be no late entries or entry on the day available for either event.
Middle Distance Championships, 24 August, Wild Deer Sands
The terrain is regrown eucalypt on old sand-mining, with numerous knolls, depressions, log piles and termite mounds. Careful navigation will be required. There are a few tracks on the map. Some are a little overgrown but visible. Since the last mapping vegetation is generally a bit heavier. A lot of the map is quite flat – so take care!

Long Distance, 25 August, Birkenburn Farm
The terrain in the northern and western sections of map is typical spur gully with significant outcrops of rock. In these areas it is mostly fast running with some patches of thicker scrub. Further south and to the east the terrain is regrown eucalypt on old sand-mining, with numerous knolls, depressions, log poles, wombat holes, termite mounds and areas of bracken. Careful navigation will be required. There are very few tracks and fences on the map.
