Orienteering ACT welcomes you to a big year of a Mountain Bike Orienteering in Canberra!
In 2024, for the first time since 2013, the ACT will be hosting the Australian MTBO Carnival and Championships and we will be thrilled to see all ACT orienteers experience the taste and spirit of Mountain Bike Orienteering.
Several MTBO Come & Try events will be held from the end of 2023 and throughout 2024 to bring many more adventurous and outdoor people to the sport! So if you have been thinking “I’d like to try MTBO”, this is absolutely your year and opportunity to finally experience Mountain Bike Orienteering!
MTBO is coming to your doorsteps!
ACT Twilight MTBO event will feature a new MTBO map of Gossan Hill! Start any time between 5:00pm and 6:00pm. Course closure 7:00pm.
There will be an MTBO Come & Try tent, where several MTBO coaches will be on hand to assist beginners between 4pm and 6pm.
Bring your family along! All teenagers and kids under 21 – only $10. Many map boards and SI Air will be available for hire.
There will be three courses: Long (about 12km, 50 min winning time); Middle (about 7 km, 40 min winning time) and Short (about 4km, 30 min winning time).
Assembly area and Parking: Banaga Pl (parking area near Aranda PS, Aranda)
Enter by Sunday 10th 11:59pm or on the day at the rego tent.
