There are less than two weeks to go until the 2023 ACT Mountain Bike Orienteering Series begins at a new map of Cooleman Ridge on Sunday 26 February.
The courses will take riders over loose gravel, soft sand, ragged rocks, prickly blackberries and eroded ruts.
Along the way they might encounter bounding kangaroos, swooping magpies, spikey echidnas, dog-walkers, random runners, commuter cyclists and perhaps horses, which of course, they should give way too. ACT MTBO is kids, beginners and family friendly, so four courses from the Novice to Elite level will be offered.
Start anytime between 9am and 10.30am. Course closure 1pm.
Member $20, Non-Members $20, Pre-Entry and SI-Air are essential. Map Board an SI Air are available for hire: $5 each
Kids and teenagers under 20 are free!
