As the 2022-23 Runners Shop Twilight Series draws to a close, Martin Dent seems to have secured first place, but the minor placings are still in contention. And, with five events still to go, other competitors, with good runs, could influence the final standings.

The top five placings on corrected time for event 9 at Bruce Ridge were:

Competitor Handicap  Corrected km rate
Martin Dent 0.9000 5 min 06.00 sec
Jenny Bourne 0.5120 5 min 08.66 sec
Grace Crane 0.7520 5 min  25.91 sec
Hayden Dent 0.7600 5 min 32.23 sec
Owen Radajewski 0.8800 5 min 40.38 sec

The top five placings on corrected time for event 10 at Fadden Pines were:

Competitor Handicap  Corrected km rate
Martin Dent 0.9000 3 min 37.87 sec
Shannon Jones 0.7200 3 min 48.65 sec
Grace Crane 0.7520 3 min  58.07 sec
Sanda Halpin 0.6320 4 min 08.89 sec
Paul de Jongh 1.0000 4 min 10.25 sec

The top five competitors, with the best six scores from 10 events are.

  • 749 Martin Dent RR A
  • 740 Shannon Jones AO A
  • 732 David Stocks BS A
  • 732 Paul de Jongh BS A
  • 728 Hayden Dent RR A

The current standings are here and final scores will be based on competitors’ top eight scores. Martin Dent already has 995 from his best eight scores and if he was to win four of  the final races, he could achieve the perfect score of 1,000 points, to equal the record set by Julian Dent in 2005.

The next event will be at Mt Ainslie North on Wednesday 15 February.
