The 2021 Metro Series will kick-off this Saturday 1 May at Weston Park.
Metro Series Season Pass
There’s still time to get a Metro Series season pass, with entry to all 14 events in the series for the price of only 7!
Season pass holders also save time by not needing to complete a registration card at each event.
To purchase a season pass you must be a member of an orienteering club and you must own your own Sportident stick. Sportident sticks can be purchased through the season pass registration page by adding the Sportident stick ‘service’ to your entry.
Season Pass registration will close at 5pm on the Friday before each event, and reopen again after each event.
This Saturday’s event is brought to you by Abominable O-Men, with courses set by Stephen Still.
With four courses available – Moderate 4.3km and 3.8km, Easy 2.2km and Very Easy 1.4km (measured in straight line) – we are expecting some very fast winning times.
The map is 1:5000 and uses ISSOM sprint map symbols, please take note of the various out of bounds symbols that will appear, crossing of these areas is strictly forbidden.
You are sure to find the courses fast and furious, with no need for full body cover and no clambering over rocks, into erosion gullies or through long grass and blackberry thickets.
With the assembly area adjacent to the Yarralumla Play Station (Mini Railway) there is plenty of opportunity for after run activities. Come along even earlier and combine the Burley Griffin Park Run with your mornings exercise.
