Young Coaches and Very Young Students Love Cunning Running.

The students of Southern Cross Early Childhood School show that no-one is too young for a body and brain work out. Energetic young coaches like Carys Connick (pictured) and Patrick Miller are stepping into the valuable role of teaching and sharing the love of the sport of orienteering.

Balancing study and work come easily when part of that work is outdoors teaching children how to enjoy cunning running. Coaching is a rewarding experience and provides a terrific contribution back into the community.

Classes have been provided to students at every year level at St Benedict’s Primary School, and at Southern Cross Early Childhood School students in kindy to year 2 are now top navigators now and confidently orientate maps – MAP TO GROUND! Who would have thought?!
