Naomi Penton made the most of the absence of Elizabeth Denney and Ariadna Ishakova to jump to a share of the lead in the W10s with a win on the Green Course while Aoife Rothery continues to lead Mika Moor with neither runner participating in W12s today. Ingrid Shelton-Agar had the second fastest time on the Orange 2 course to increase her lead over Lauren Charles in the W14. Natalie Miller took out the Orange 1 course to move up to third in the W16s but Ellen Johnson continues to have a big lead over Katherine Hinchliffe. Ella Cuthbert and Tara Melhuish are both away representing Australia at JWOC and still have the lead in the W20 and W18 classes.
In the men’s classes, Ryan Stocks extended his comfortable lead in the M20s with a win on the O1 course while Toby Lang closed the gap on David Stocks in the M16 class with second overall. Tenzing Johnson regained the lead in the M18 class in Brendon Wilson’s absence. Connor Lineen had a good result on the Orange 2 course, reducing Alex Derlacki’s lead in the M14s. Hayden Dent took out the Green Juniors course extending his already sizeable lead in the M10s while Joshua Mansell has made the most of Elye Dent’s absence over the last two weeks to take a narrow lead in the M12 class after taking out second on today’s Green course.
