The 2019 Metro Series will kick-off this Saturday 4 May at Weston Park.
Enter on the day will be avilable, but it’s not too late to buy a Season Pass. The pass offers excellent value, with all 14 Metro Series events for the price of 7. For details see the information flyer. Visit Eventor to purchase a pass.
If you are not registered for the season pass prior to the event you will need to pay for entry on the day at the event.
Season pass registration will remain open for the entire metro series.
This event will also include the welcome event for the 2019 Winter Map Mates Series.
Map Mates is a fun team based competition for children 7-13 years old, held in conjunction with the Metro Series. It includes four competition events with weekly coaching sessions, event maps and fun-fact sheets, as well as a season pass to the rest of the Metro Series. The welcome event is free for all primary school aged children, pre-registration is not required.
Enter on the day fees: member adult $10, member junior & concessions $7. $10 non-member juniors and $15 non-member adults. Hire of an electronic timing chip (Sportident card) is $5. Cash payment accepted but EFTPOS preferred.
Start anytime between 10:30am and 12 noon, course closure 1:00pm.
Bushflyers junior and first time course planner, Toby Lang, has set the following courses:
- Blue (very easy) 1.4km
- Green (easy) 2.6km
- Orange 2 (moderate) 3.4km
- Orange 1 (moderate) 4.4km
The map is a 1:5000 map using sprint map symbols, please take note of the various out of bounds symbols that will appear on the map, crossing of these areas is stricltly forbidden.
