More than a walk in the woods, this season has seen rookie’s and hotshots combine to make Spring SC-ORE School Orienteering seriously fun!
Right from the start it was bound to be a blast! With half a dozen teams with their eye on the SC-ORE trophy.
Thunder clapped in the final event, but our wild runners were not deterred. While rain subsided teams keenly poured in. Little did they know the underlying anxiety of the organisers, as they assessed the weather, hesitated, momentarily before pushing on for a great final.
Kids from 16 different primary schools around Canberra drowned out the assembly area weekly over the course of this series.
Final podium placings as follows:
First | Majura C | Freya M, Owen R, Jett B, Eliza A-B |
Second | Aranda M | Emily S, Luke W, Makhosi Z, Chloe M |
Third | Majura A | Luca H, Maki H, Thomas F, Mia K |
Results from round 4 are HERE. Final overall results for the Spring 2018 series are HERE.

All thanks to the many volunteers, the generous parent helpers and the welcoming attitude of our host schools, Forrest, Garran, Hughes and Canberra Grammar. These schools provide the opportunity for school safe, school based orienteering experiences such as SC-ORE, to ignite a passion of future orienteers.
SC-ORE School Orienteering will remain in the south of Canberra in March 2019. Stage 1 Curtin Primary, 7 March 2019! Stay tuned as venues are secured. Entries now open.
