Friday 4 October, Yackandandah
In the morning the meeting will focus of IOF mapping standards and tools to help mappers check that their maps are compliant. We hope to have two members of the IOF Mapping Commission in attendance, so plenty of opportunity to hear about (and ask questions) about all things mapping. There will also be time for a discussion on LIDAR and digital mapping experiences so far.
The afternoon will be a map walk on Rowdy Flat looking at mapping in complex areas. Digital data including LIDAR will be available before the meeting for you to download. Mapping in the field using a tablet will be demonstrated. Bring your own and test out your mapping skills on one of the most complex areas in Australia!
Lots to learn and share – and all free!
