Introducing our next International Coach in Residence: Fryderyk Pryjma!

Last Summer OACT hosted the French/Finnish coaches Fredo and Saara and they ran a wide range of technical and physical training activities for our community. They also delivered a lot of orienteering classes in ACT schools and made one new school map. You can find lots more information about the program here and previous coaches reviews here.

This summer OACT welcomes Fryderyk Pryjma, a 22 year old orienteer from Poland.
Fryde runs for the Finnish club Kovee. Fryde has represented Poland at JWOC and EYOC with some impressive individual and relay results (including 13th in middle and 5th in relay). Fryde will be travelling to Canberra with his girlfriend Maria Deptulska, also a Polish orienteer, and she also does radio orienteering. Fryde and Maria arrive on 24 October and we will organise a few welcomes for them at the Twilight events in late October / early November – please come and say hello!

In the mean time, Fryde has started planning for his work here in Australia. He is looking for a second hand car (if anyone has any good leads for a car available October to April please let me know). We will start planning the November training activities – if you have suggestions on physical and technical activities let me know. You may have a memory of a great activity run by one of our previous international scholars?

Edith Gray coordinates the accommodation for our coaches in residence and she will be putting out a call for host households in the coming months. We do know that a few of you missed out on hosting last time and you are on the list if interested.

If you have any questions about the Coach in Residence program let me know:
