COURSE SETTER'S NOTES:

A mix of fast, open running with areas of slightly thicker vegetation containing complex rock detail. The map has been updated for vegetation using recent lidar data, but some open areas contain patches of scrub that are not mapped. Some tracks that are marked on the map may be indistinct on the ground and some sections of ruined fence only have fence wire at ground level, and may not be visible unless you are very close.

The Very Easy course has a taped leg close to the finish.

STARTS:

Between 10:00am and 12:00pm.

COURSE CLOSURE:

Courses close at 2:00pm. You must report to the finish by 2:00pm, whether you have finished your course or not.

DIRECTIONS:

From Tharwa head south on Naas Road that becomes Boboyan Road. After crossing Fitz’s Hill turn right onto Orroral Road. Follow Orroral Road past the campground and all the way to the end. Parking is in the visitors carpark at the site of the old Orroral Valley Tracking Station. Drive time is approximately 30 minutes from Tharwa. Drive carefully on Orroral Road because of the kangaroos. The bush goes right up to the road, so they often appear suddenly.
