ENTRIES

The following entry options are available:

1. Season Pass, provides a 40% discount on entry to all 12 Metro series events. Season pass registration and course changes close at 5pm on the Friday before each Metro Series event. Register via Eventor: https://eventor.orienteering.asn.au/Events/Show/21530

2. Pre-entry via Eventor. Member adults $15, member juniors $5, member family maximum $35. Non-member adults $25, non-member juniors $10, non-member family maximum $60. SI stick hire $5. Entries close 9am on the Saturday morning of each Metro Series event.

3. Online entry on the day at the event. Adults $25, juniors $10. SI stick hire $5. BYO smartphone to complete entry and payment at the event. NB: there is no member discount for entries made at the event.

ASSEMBLY AREA:

South end of Waldock St, Chifley.

COURSES (length, climb, controls):

Moderate 1 (4.5km, 120m, 19), Moderate 2 (3.2km, 90m, 15), Easy (2.5km, 75m, 11), Very Easy (1.8km, 60m, 13).

STARTS:

Between 10:30 and 12:00.

COURSE CLOSURE:

Courses close at 13:00. You MUST report to the finish by 13:00, whether you have finished your course or not.

PARAWANGA IS TURNING 50

Canberra’s oldest orienteering club, Parawanga Orienteers, is turning 50 this week and will be celebrating its 50th anniversary at the Mount Taylor event this Saturday. Present and past Parawanga members are invited to share in a cake-cutting ceremony which is planned to take place towards the end of the event at about 12 noon. Cup cakes in Parawanga colours (blue and white) will be available at the Blue Lightning stall for all to enjoy.

A selection of maps made by Parawanga mapping teams will be displayed as part of a presentation of Parawanga’s history, along with other historical information.
