STARTS:

5.30pm to 6.15pm Monday 1 November, with assistance provided in the assembly area for first timers and for persons not using MapRun to self time and report their result. The MapRun course will be open from 10am on Saturday 30 October and participants can do their course any time between 10am Saturday 30 October and 6.15pm on Monday 1 November. The course map (in colour) will be available on Eventor for download. Persons who are unable to access MapRun on their phones can use an honesty system to self time their start and finish and visit the controls on their course then record their result.

ASSEMBLY:

Park in the large carpark off Parkes Place West, between Questacon & the lake. Assembly by the path between the carpark & Questacon, with start/finish at the Mobius sculpture in the Questacon Science Garden. Public toilets are 150m east (20 metres to the east of the SE corner of the large carpark).

MAP: Parkes 1:7500

COURSES:

A - all 20 controls, B - 15 controls, C - 12 controls, D - 8 controls, walk - as many as you can visit within 1 hour.

COVID safe control visits: This is a MapRun event, with no control plates out. Use of the MapRun6 app is highly preferred, but there is the option to navigate and self time the course if needed. The MapRun event name is: "Parkes OACT Nov 2021 SA".

ENTRY:

For COVID safety, pre-entry using Eventor is required for all participants using the daylight saving time season pass (preferred) or individual event entry ($5 adult, free for children, open until 12 noon on Monday 1 November). LIVE TRACKING TEST:

We are testing Live Tracking during this event. If you don’t want live position data to be sent from the MapRun6 app, after selecting the course, turn off the “Live tracking during the event” option before you “Go to Start”.
