2025 Australian MTBO Championships – Western Australia

This year, the Australian MTBO Championships took place in remote Collie, approximately 200 km south-east of Perth. The event brought together around 70 passionate MTBO enthusiasts, including 10 competitors from New Zealand.

The ACT MTBO Team was a small but mighty group, managing to reach the podium every day.
Duncan Sullivan, serving as Carnival Director, along with his skilled and highly experienced MTBO team, including Ricky Thackray and Tash Thackray. Team put on a great quality Champs and prepared three brand-new maps — each one technically challenging, varied, and incredibly enjoyable.

Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t what the ACT riders had hoped for when escaping chilly Canberra! All four events took place in rainy, windy conditions, with a maximum temperature of just 12°C. At least they were well prepared:)!
Still, the fantastic terrain and outstanding courses made the journey to WA more than worthwhile.
