ACT Mountain Bike Orienteering with Red Roos support invites you to an enjoyable and fun ACT MTBO Event, the last one before the major celebration of MTBO in Canberra in October!
MTBO Series event # 3 will take place in the East Stromlo area, utilizing “Green Hills” map. This is a fast and hilly area of dense fire roads network that goes through a beautiful plantation pine area, and fantastic ZOO single tracks, just adjacent to Arboretum.
ACT MTBO is kids, beginners and family-friendly, so 4 courses from the Novice to Elite level will be offered.
- Start Times: from 10:00am till 11:00am, Course closure: 1:30pm
- Map: Green Hills, East Stromlo (start from Weston/Coombs side) 10,000, 5m contours
- Course Setter: Ariadna Iskhakova, Red Roos Event organizer: Marina and Fedor Iskhakov, Red Roos
- Assembly Area: parking off Kirkpatrick str, adjacent to the pond, Weston (next to RSPCA, Weston)
- Classes and Expected winning time:
- LONG ~15 km, 15 cp, 60-75 min
- MIDDLE (and eBike) ~10 km, 10 cp, 45-60 min
- SHORT ~6 km, 6 cp, 30-45 min
- NOVICE ~3 km, 5 cp, 25-30 min
- Entry fee: $15 Adult Member / $30 Adult Non-Members,
- $7 Junior Member / $15 Junior Non-Member (under 21)
- Map Board an SI Air are available for hire: $5 each
