Want to Learn to Orienteer?
Join our new program “Learn to Orienteer” in term 4. It’s for anyone who wants to learn to orienteer – all ages are welcome.
There will be one-hour sessions, once a week. Lessons are conducted in small groups. We will focus on different skills and give participants plenty of opportunities to have fun exploring techniques to build confidence in using a map to navigate.
- When: Wednesdays 4:30 – 5:30pm, starting on 11 October 2023 for 7 weeks.
- Where: First two sessions in Weston Park, then five more co-located with Orienteering ACT’s Twilight series (Oct-March).
- Cost*: Junior (u20) $119** Adult $159.
(Learn to Orienteer is a National program aimed at all ages and will replace Map Mates this season.)
* Includes membership for 2024 and a season pass for Twilight Series 2023/2024 (own SI-stick required after end of program). All set for the rest of the series – no need to re-register after the program, just rock up to the events until end of March and enjoy your course.
**Each participant under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian present for the session, and we encourage parents/carers’ to participate. The activities will be designed so that parents/guardians can join in as well, learn to orienteer and have fun with us.
