Have you ever wondered:

  • what goes on behind the scenes at an Orienteering Event?
  • why things are the way they are?
  • if you could do a better job?

Come along and

  • contribute your knowledge and ideas
  • find out what resources are out there for you to use
  • learn how to use them from a couple of “old hands”.

Morning Session

  • Event Organisation: an introduction as to who, what, where and why?
  • Course Planning Principles: brief overview of the course requirements for OACT events.
  • Event Management software – an overview.

Afternoon Session

  • Controller Accreditation: what is required for you to become an accredited Level 1 or Level 2 OA Controller.

For those interested only in Event Organisation or Course Planning, you only need to attend in the morning.
For those with an interest in becoming an Accredited Controller, you will need to attend all day.

Morning and afternoon refreshments and snacks will be provided, along with tea, coffee and juice.
We have access to a kitchen.
Please provide your own lunch or you can purchase from local businesses.
