The ACT League double header over the weekend of 16-17 March produced some surprising results after competitors’ times were corrected for age and gender. The most interesting outcomes were in ACT League #1, the 2019 ACT Sprint Distance Championships as the event was expected to favour the young speedsters, but that was not the case. The top six were:
- Toni Brown 138
- Ana Herceg 137
- Zoe Melhuish 136
- Ella Cuthbert 135
- Tara Melhuish 134
- Wayne Gregson 133
The results are here, the Winsplits are here, and the maps and photos from the event are here.
Event #2, a Long Distance event at The Gib (Gibraltar Hill about 5 kms east of Bungendore) had some interesting scores with a mixture of regular top competitors and some surprises: The top six:
- Fredo Tranchand 125
- Bill Jones 124
- Judy Allison 123
- Matt Crane 122
- Ann Ingwersen 121
- Patrick Miller 120
The results are here, the Winsplits are here, and the maps and photos from the event are here.
After scores were aggregated, the top five competitors with the best two scores are:
- Toni Brown 253
- Judy Allison 250
- Fredo Tranchand 249
- David Stocks 243
- Ana Herceg 240
The standings are here. Early leaders are often hard to catch if they create a break on the field.
ACT League event #3 will be at Badja on Sunday 7 April.
