The ACT Mountain Bike Orienteering Championships will be held this weekend (13-14 October) and will provide competitors with excellent single track and fire road riding in two very different locations.
It’s not yet too late to pre-enter, but you can also enter on the day on courses 3, 4 and 5. A range of courses are available to suit everyone, from experienced elites, to children and beginners.
Both events will include all the trimmings befitting of a major championship, including SIAC air punching (SIAC chips are available for hire), a coffee van, and awards for placegetters in all championship classes.
Saturday’s Middle distance at Kowen Forest will feature an extensive network of undulating fire trails and high quality mountain bike single tracks.
Sunday’s Long Distance at Pierce’s Creek will provide challenging route choice, with a mix of fast fire trails, and sandy and rocky single tracks.
Both events are part of the 2018 National MTBO Series, and the 2019 World Masters MTBO Series.
