Double header this weekend. Start at the heart, Black Mtn and venture east to Jim Sawkins Classic – Ratall Creek – Sunday 4 June

Brendan the Bushflyer – a sure bet! Expect something a little different from the setting this Saturday as another of our juniors, 15 year old Bushflyer Brendan Wilson (pictured) works his magic on this central Canberra map of Black Mountain. Brendan has been orienteering for a number of years now and Bushflyers are proud to be supporting another junior to step up into this very important role. With a mostly sunny day predicted, this event is certainly worth getting out of bed for.

Then watch out, there’s a Hagaby about!

Hagaby is a mass-start multi-loop style event. This year Red Roos are bringing you the Jim Sawkins Classic from Ratall Creek near Bungendore. The event will include a selection trial for the ACT Schools Team. Mark Gregson has devised a challenging combination of courses for the those vying for the Division 1 (Red 1) and Division 2 (Red 2, 3 excl M21) awards.

Full details of the competition arrangements and scoring system here.  Please enter by 31 May on Eventor here.

Please note: Car parking is available on both sides of the Kings Highway near the event start, but this is at the top of a crest at the end of a high speed overtaking lane. Please take care when entering and leaving the parking zones and crossing the highway.
