ACT Schools with Secondary Classes Information flyer Latest Information as at Thu 15 August 2019 - Event Notes
The Metro Series is held in parkland and nature parks close to Canberra. Everyone is welcome and courses are available to suit a wide range of orienteering experience from novice to the more experienced. Courses range from 2km to 5km and very easy to medium navigation difficulty. A ‘Help’ person will be available to provide assistance at the event. Just turn up, no requirement to book ahead.
Enter-on-the-day. Start anytime between 10.30 and 12 noon. Course closure 1pm. Entry fees - member adult $10, member junior $7. $10 non-member juniors and $15 non-member adults. Hire of an electronic timing chip (sportident card) is $5. Cash payment accepted but EFTPOS preferred.
The ACT Saturday Series includes the ACT Junior League competition.
ASSEMBLY AREA: Callemonda Rise, O'Malley.
COURSES: Orange 1 (5.4km), Orange 2 (4.5km), Orange 3 (3.4km), Green (2.0km), Blue (1.6km).
SECONDAY SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSIPS:
Only entrants in the 2019 ACT Secondary Schools Championships need to pre-enter via Eventor.
Entry Fees (to be paid on the day): $7 (OACT Member), $10 (Day Member). No payment is required for competitors who have a Metro Series Season Pass.
Students wishing to compete in the Schools Championships need to identify the school they will be representing. First, open the document (see Documents and Links box) 'ACT Schools with Secondary Classes' to ascertain the Id number assigned to your school. When entering, select ‘Services', select 'School' and click on Add, write the number of their school in the box which currently has the figure '1', click on Next and Save. This will enable organisers to identify their school when determining School team results.
Championship age classes: M/W18 - Orange 1, M/W16 - Orange 2, M/W14 - Orange 3, M/W12 - Green
