COVID-19 ENTRY POLICY
When entering an OACT event please comply with the current ACT COVID-19 health advice and the OACT COVID-19 Policy: https://act.orienteering.asn.au/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/OACT-Covid-19-Policy.pdf
Refunds of entry fees will be considered for anyone who is unable to attend the event due to Covid-19 restrictions or illness.
STARTS:
The MapRun course will be open from 6am on Thursday, participants can start their course any time from then until 6:15pm on Monday. The course map (in colour) will be available on Eventor for download. Persons who are unable to access MapRun on their phones can use an honesty system to self time their course then email their result to John Harding () by 7:30pm on Monday.
An organising team will be at the assembly area from 5pm to 7.15pm on Monday, with start times from 5pm to 6.15pm. Assistance in using MapRun on smartphones and smartwatches will be provided. A limited supply of printed maps will be available and a self start recording sheet, with self timing for those not using MapRun.
ASSEMBLY:
Mawson Neighbourhood Oval 3, off Mawson Drive. Start/finish: green electrical box at the front of the shed (oval side).
Facilities: Parking, shelter, toilets. Other public toilets: outside Woolworths at Southland Shopping Centre.
COURSES:
A+ - all 20 controls, A - 18 controls, B - 15 controls, C - 12 controls, D - 8 controls, walk - as many as you can visit within 1 hour.
COVID safe control visits: This is a MapRun event, with no control plates out. Use of the MapRun6 app is highly preferred, but there is the option to navigate and self time the course if needed. The MapRun event name is: "Mawson-OMalley OACT Dec 2022 SA".

IMPORTANT SAFETY ISSUE:
Mawson and O’Malley are separated by Yamba Drive, a dangerous 4 lane 80 kph major road. There is an overhead footbridge NE of the Assembly area. You must use either this bridge or the two traffic light pedestrian crossing points marked on the map. You MUST NOT cross anywhere else, as not only is the road extremely dangerous but there is also an uncrossable deep water channel on the Mawson side.
ENTRY: Pre-entry on Eventor via the season pass or individual event entry is strongly recommended.
