The ACT Midweek series is a low key orienteering event held each Wednesday lunch mostly in Canberra Nature Parks. Everyone is welcome. Courses are about 3km and 5km and are easy-medium navigation difficulty. Just turn up, no requirement to book ahead.
Enter-on-the-day. Start anytime between 12 noon and 1pm and be back by 2pm. Entry fees are $10 adult and $7 for junior & concessions. Cash payment only.
COURSES: Orange 1 (4.9km), Orange 2 (3.9km), Green (3.0km).
DIRECTIONS & PARKING
Car parking will be in Black Mountain Reserve Car Park signposted (brown sign) from William Hovell Drive eastbound. Additional car parking is available along Old Caswell Drive which is the access road to the car park.
If coming westbound along William Hovell Drive there is a U-Turn place which is also signposted for Black Mountain Reserve Car Park.
From northbound traffic on Tuggeranong Parkway take the exit to West Belconnen, just past the arboretum, and follow the brown signs to the car park. Please do not attempt to take the turning from the northbound Caswell Drive/GDE directly into the car park which is shown on Google Maps.
For southbound traffic on Caswell Drive go through the Glenloch interchange and exit for Lady Denman Drive and the arboretum, turn right under the Tuggeranong Parkway toward the arboretum and then right again to head towards west Belconnen in the left hand lane. Follow the brown signs to the car park.
