Assembly & Parking: Carpark adjacent to the change rooms at the Perce Douglas Memorial Playing Fields (off Clarrie Hermes Drive). (35˚ 10’ 40.6” south; 149˚ 5’ 51.4” east)
Getting There: If coming from the south, in the past there has been very slow traffic on the GDE through Gungaghlin. It is therefore better to exit the GDE at Kaleen and follow the Barton Highway north before turning right onto Clarrie Hermes Drive. At the second roundabout on Clarrie Hermes Drive, turn right to the assembly area at the Nicholl sports fields.
Facilities: Parking, shelter, toilets.
Everyone is welcome. Course A: visit any 18 out of 20 controls. Course B: visit any 15 out of 20 controls. Course C: visit any 12 out of 20 controls. Couse D: visit any 8 out of 20 controls. Power walker: visit as many controls as possible in 60 minutes. Distance of courses ranges from about 3km up to 8km.
Just turn up – no need to book ahead or notify anyone beforehand. Briefing is at about 6.10pm Mass start at 6.15pm. Must be back by 7.15pm. Cost is $5. Can participate individually or in small friendship or family groups (teams).
