If you wish to attend, contact Aylwin Lim 0438 322 761 or . $5 Park entry fee, Gold Coin donation for organised evening activities, $17 if you wish to join us for dinner. Come enjoy the SkyChallenge (9am) and Dolphin Cruise plus Sprint-O (1pm) on Friday, Oct 5. (See program for info). A special accommodation camp at West Beach Caravan Park during the National Australian Orienteering Championships Carnival in October. Open to all juniors aged 9-18, (Years 5-12) who are not in the Schools State Teams, and their families and/or accompanying adults. This Camp is an activity independent of and separate from the Carnival organisation or the State School Team events. Any enquires are to be made directly to Aylwin Lim. You don't have to be great at orienteering to take part, as long as you like the sport and are keen to learn more. Join orienteers from NZ and other Australian States. Pick up new skills, make new friends and have lots of fun! It will be a school holiday to remember! Take part in the Carnival events in the morning, then come back to the Camp for games, social activities and training sessions in the afternoons and evenings. Coaching will be provided by grassroots and elite orienteers from SA, interstate and overseas. You can come just for one day or stay for all 6 nights. All juniors who are using the accommodation and activities MUST be accompanied by an adult who has full responsibility for them whilst at the camp and when tney undertake any of the provided activities.

RISK STATEMENT: In entering this event I recognise that the event is a recreational activity that may involve significant risk of physical harm and has certain inherent and obvious risks due to its conduct in both urban and natural environments. Included in these risks are injury due to: rough terrain and obstacles; the effects of heat, cold and other adverse weather conditions; plant and animal life; vehicular traffic; and remoteness to medical services or evacuation difficulties if you become disabled. You should recognise that orienteering can be a dangerous recreational activity and the enjoyment of orienteering is derived in part from the inherent and obvious risks associated with the activity. You should be aware that there is no personal accident insurance on your participation in the sport and you participate at your own risk. It is the responsibility of parents and guardians to decide whether their children are capable of orienteering by themselves at each event. Parents and guardians should ensure that their children are supervised at all times.
