Map: Honeysuckle Creek 1:10,000 2006 5m Contours.
Located in Namadgi National Park, Honeysuckle is one of
Australia’s premier granite areas mapped by Eric Andrews, for the World
Cup in 2000. Recently remapped by Bob Allison and Hugh Moore, this
area has not been used since the 2003 bushfires.
Terrain: Eucalypt forest with areas of complex granite particularly in
the steeper areas. Mostly undulating, the open forest has some bracken
ferns and areas of slow run due to patches of wattle and eucalypt
regrowth following the 2003 bushfires. There are some areas of complex
linear marshes and large expanse of open marsh.
Entry Fees (GST included): Seniors $24; Juniors (13-20) & concessions $14; Sub-junior (to 12) $10. Family maximum $70. If you do not have your own SportIdent e-card, there is an additional hire fee of $2 per e-card. Concessions include full-time undergraduate students and Seniors Cardholders.
Closing Date: Entries posted on Friday 9th September 2006. Late entries after that date will be accepted at the discretion of the organiser and will incur a 50% surcharge.
Starts: From 10am. Split start times for child-minding purposes will be available upon request. Start list will be posted here.
