German Family Enjoys Close Encounter with Kangaroos

One of the attractions for the Niemann family’s visit to Canberra, while on holidays from Germany, was the opportunity to participate in ACT Midweek Series #12 at Lyneham North. And apart from experiencing the low-key nature of the event, they were fortunate to have a close encounter with kangaroos. All of the family seemed to have enjoyed their experience.

As has been the case for weeks on end, the weather was fine and sunny; ideal for orienteering. The results for the 32 participants are here and John Harding’s copies of the maps and photos taken out on the course are on Facebook.

Next week’s event will be at The Pinnacle (Dungowan St, Hawker) with the Bryant Allen as the course planner/organiser.
